Ravens and crows are often seen as bearers of misfortune or ill luck, but this interpretation is not always the case. Many cultures see them as bearers of wisdom and intelligence, seacret-keepers and informants. In legends throught the world, the Raven has helped mankind in many ways; not in the least by bringing him light/fire and warning of coming events.
These Ravens here are representative of those virtues ascribed to this cunning bird, as well as being a romantic bit of symbolism as well; for adult ravens mate for life.
