Our senses dominate so much of our daily lives; sight, sound, touch, taste,and of course, smell. The lofty ethereal quality of pure Jasmine is like no other. The flowery scent of this plant has a quality of restful sensuality and sweet calm. It is an intoxicating presence that transcends space and time
and lifts your spirit to a place of solitude and warmth. Although jasmine flowers are generally white, I chose light blues and pinks to illustrate this mandala because that is the imagery that comes to mind from the heady scent of ripe jasmine owers. The sweet, exotic smell caresses our senses and brings to life images of earthly pleasures and primal urges. The word “jasmine” rings with a phonetic tone that kindles images of
sensuality, music and all things cooooooool……
Funky jasmine seeping,
From a lovers nest.
Lovely ower peeping,
Teasing, as in jest.
Tempting, liquid, slippery,
Tuned and warm delight.
Body soft and whispery,
Wrapped in warm twilight.

About Me
Chris Flisher has been creating mandalas and spiritually-realized drawings for years. The inspiration for the artwork sprang initially from his love of astrology. Astrology uses circles and cycles to represent the changing universe. As the planets drift through the cosmos; as the seasons change; as the days come and go; the universe evolves and expands in a timeless swirl of circular motion. As above, so below. The very essence of the circle is at the core of our DNA and the patterns of nature, time, and space.
The drawings evolve from the subconscious and are created in a stream of consciousness involving concentration and meditation. All designs, patterns, and symbols are original and one of a kind. The swirl of color, textures, and spiritual symbolism are all part of the process. Although these are not typical mandalas, they evolve from the same spiritual center and are offered to the universe for the collective good of all.
Commissioning Art From Me
I create commissioned artwork based on a number of concepts. Since I am a professional astrologer, I frequently use the birth date, time and place of an indiviudal to create a unique artistic "fingerprint" for anyone. Since every person has a unique fingerprint, this characteristic offers the most original form of personal art available. The astrology chart contains the aspects of each person's strengths and weaknesses as well as the roadmap for their soul's true destiny.
I also create custom mandalas based on themes as well as spiritual and healing concepts. I combine color, geometry and spirituality to create uniquely vivid artwork that transcends race, creed, color, or politics. My artwork represents the universal oneness inherent in all of us. These artworks bring optimism, color, light, spirit, and healing to all who witness their unique power. They are cross-cultural, global artworks that speak to ALL people.
