One day while I was doodling aimlessly, a little fairy tumbled out of my pencil. She stared at the corner of my paper, her gaze never wandering... When I asked her "What are you looking at?" a crescent moon appeared and thus she became the Moon Gazer.

And yes, the mushroom is watching you... but in a kindly, mushroomy sort of way.

    Claire Nobles has been painting fairies for her own website since 2008. She is well known for her characters' hilarious "fairy feet" which usually trail off into long spindly tendrils that would be impossible to actually walk with. She is probably most celebrated for her ability to create whimsical characters which many fans have told her belong in storybooks. Many have told Claire that she looks like a fairy (she is a distant relative of the folk). She currently lives in the California Bay Area with her black cat and muse, Jasper.
